A native of northern New Mexico and Albuquerque resident, Noami Romero Slater accurately reflects the mood and essence of the Southwest in her watercolor paintings. Dramatic color, beautiful skies, and dwellings are prominent in her work.

She has studied under several prestigious artists, including J. Dietrich, Todd Tibbals, Siegfried Hahn, and Howard Wexler. Since starting in 1974, Noami has continued to develop her watercolor skill.

Encouraged by gallery showings and juried show awards, she achieved an identity of being a professional artist with a technique for depicting the exclusive natural beauty of the Southwest. Her paintings are part of many private collections in the U.S. and abroad.
